Masala chai is a delicious blend of black India tea and aromatic spices. This blend has been carefully put together to give you heightened aroma, flavor and a great sense of satisfaction.
This delicious pack might seem too simple however the real taste of chai is when it is brewed slowly letting the Indian tea to blossom, fresh ginger and aromatics do their magic, the secret is in the art of letting the blend have a rapid boil followed by slow brewing. Every Chai lover who has tasted Chai in India be at the railway station or on the roadside stall would vouch that it is intense, pleasing to the senses and lasting taste that makes you crave for more.
My blend promises to deliver the same impact, needless to say the satisfaction of making the tea this way is far more rewarding.
Ingredients - black Indian tea, cloves, fennel, green cardamom and cinnamon.
Servings - 6 - 8 cups of tea
Makes a great gift - comes packed in an Indian motif paper envelope.
Here is a video on how to make the Masala Chai, enjoy.
Instructions: In a saucepan add the chai mix, crush 1/2 inch of fresh ginger with the skin. Add the chai mix, add 6 cups of boiling water and in low heat let it boil and brew for 5-7 minutes. Finish off by adding my jaggery (for that caramelized taste) and milk of your choice. In case you wish to use plant-based milk then ensure you buy "barrista" one as it is sure not to split.
My recommendation - if you like sweet tea then add my Jaggery instead of sugar, brew it while making the tea for the caramel effect. If you plan to use dairy milk then try condensed milk - dilute it first and then add it in - I promise you it will be simply divine.
NOTE - if you plan to add soy, rice, almond, oats or any plant based milk then please buy the "Barista" - as it doesn't split.
For the best experience serve your tea in a very uniquely hand painted tea kettle.
