Garam masala is a fragrant blend of ground spices. This blend can be used alone or in combination with other seasonings. The word garam refers to "heating the body" in the Ayurvedic sense of the word, as these spices are believed to elevate body temperature.
My garam masala recipe is over 70 years old and was handed down to me by my father. This treasured recipe is made of over 15 dry roasted spices, which have been carefully blended to achieve a perfectly balanced mix.
Ingredients: Coriander Seeds, Pepper, Red Chilli, Cumin, Cardamom (Green and Black), Carom Seeds, Fennel Seeds, Fenugreek leaves, Clove, Star Anise, Nutmeg, Mace, Dagar Na Phool, Cinnamon and Bay Leaf
Allergens: Nutmeg, Mace
Please Note: Processed in a setup which processes allergens like nuts, sesame, dairy, mustard, honey and egg
This spice mix is vegan / vegetarian friendly, gluten-free, and without any fillers (salt, oil, preservatives).
The shelf life of ground spices varies depending on how they are stored. We recommend storing away from heat, light, moisture, and air. Please keep in an airtight glass jar, preferably inside a cupboard.
